# IDCMP — IntuiMessage Classes
|
|
|
|
## Overview
|
|
|
|
**IDCMP** (Intuition Direct Communication Message Ports) is the mechanism by which Intuition delivers input events to windows. Each window has a `UserPort` (MsgPort) where `IntuiMessage` structures are queued.
